We’re hot in the middle of awards season with the industry’s top competitions nearing their deadlines. There’s still time to enter Creative Head's Most Wanted, It List, British Hairdressing Business Awards and British Hairdressing Awards, so here’s a checklist for those last-minute entries.
Creative Head’s Most Wanted deadline is 14 May and It List is 21 May. Check the categories you want to enter and carefully read the criteria. Check out all the rules here.
Re-read your entry and ask yourself who, what, why, where and how to each statement that you make.
Ensure you have answered each question in the criteria.
Make sure you include your entry form with your entry!
Deadline for British Hairdressing Business Awards is 15 June so checkout hji.co.uk for the categories and criteria.
Ask someone else to read your entry who isn’t involved in your business for a different viewpoint.
Answer all the questions and ensure you supply plenty of relevant evidence to back up any claims you make.
Fill out the entry form and make sure everything is labelled in case entry form and entry get separated.
There’s just six weeks until the deadline for HJ’s British Hairdressing Awards - deadline is 22 June.
Head to the website and check which category you want to enter. Read the rules as they are slightly different for different categories.
You don’t have to spend a fortune if you have a small budget – head to Instagram and the streets to find non-professional models.
Re-read the entry form and make sure you have filled it in with the required information.
Always send your entries by special delivery – if they are late or lost you risk being disqualified. If you can prove when you sent it and it isn’t your fault the organisers will take this into consideration.
Good luck and be proud of what you have created, whatever the outcome!
