Long hair, it seems, is as popular as ever with no end in sight! So making sure your clients care for their long hair is essential to keep it in tip-top condition.
Cos Sakkas, international artistic director and head of education at TONI&GUY offered his tips for keeping long hair looking great throughout the coming season. As seen on hairmag.in Cos’s tips included:
1 Nothing looks worse than split ends, so cut your hair every eight weeks to maintain its shape and condition.
2 Regularly update the colour; use different techniques to keep it looking fresh.
3 Add little details like a fringe or a layer, or refresh the perimeter and baseline.
4 Product recommendation is important with long hair for different results. A dry shampoo will give it a dusty finish, while a shine spray will leave it looking glossy.
5 Long hair needs a base, like a volume mousse. A sea salt spray works well when left to dry naturally.
6 Long hair doesn’t need to be cut to look different – play with layer and colour placement.
