We've spent the past two days in Dalston at Colour World with a couple of thousand colourists from salons across the UK to see what's new and happening in the world of colour. The cool, creative and informal environment at the MC Motors warehouse was ideal for showcasing the colourful creations on display and was a great opportunity to network, talk about products and see some incredible hair.
Alter Ego Italy were there for the second year, with an area themed on its SS18 collection The Story - visitors received logo-embossed sweets, chatted at a picnic table and played with the Hasty Too products range.
UK colour ambassador, Issie Churcher used the new Pastel Toners in Pinky Pop and Milky Mint to transform a blonde pixie crop and add interest to a blonde bob. She also used Just Colour to create brighter colour which visitors loved!
UK creative ambassador Pete Burkill talked about the styling essentials he used to get the look, with visitors taking photographs and jotting down the details.
Over on the L'Oreal Professionnel stage, Marlon Hawkins from Brooks & Brooks Hairdressing presented a model based on the Pantone Colour of the Year. A pinky violet shimmered on the long hair while he used a navy marble-effect on a blonde crop.
The two-day event saw some of the most creative names in hairdressing talk about boosting their colour services, the trends they use on their clients and the techniques hairdressers will be using in the months to come.
