As the end of 2017 draws close we here at RedMane Media are reflecting on what amazing 12 months it’s been. At the start of 2017 Ruth and I were still working for the wonderful Hairdressers Journal International, doing the jobs we’d been doing for 22 years and 11 years, respectively, and still enjoying ourselves. However, we also both felt we needed a new challenge and began to chat about what we could do and still work together.
The idea for RedMane Media was born and we made the difficult decision to resign from our jobs and launch our own agency.
RedMane Media started trading at the beginning of August, and now at the beginning of December, we have gained some incredible clients who it is a huge pleasure to work with. On-board so far we have luxury hair extensions company Secret Hair; multi-award winning salon, Brooks & Brooks; Afro hair specialist, Junior Green, and successful award-winning salon group Spirit Hair Company. We’ve also carried out project work for some leading individuals and brands, including KeraStraight, Joanne O’Neil, and Joseph Ferraro - all of which has kept us very busy during our first four months.
We also have some more clients joining the RedMane family in January – all will be revealed.
If there’s a moral to this tale, it’s that you don’t always have to be unhappy in your job to make a dramatic change. Sometimes it’s when you’re comfortable and happy that it’s time to plan for the future – this way you know you’re making changes for the right reason, not just to escape your current situation.
Now, we are looking forward to 2018 and seeing RedMane Media continue to grow.
